Town N Country was started in 1959 by Bill & Gene Linhart. For 54 years, Bill and Gene nurtured a wonderful business, known for their personal touch and friendly experience for each and every customer.
As times changed, Bill and Gene Linhart turned the torch over the their son Scott and daughter-in-law Kim in January of 2013 to carry on the legacy of the Garden Center. Scott has made the comment to many that they (Kim & Scott) have become his parents. It is with great pride that they carry on the same personal touch and friendly experience that Town N Country was known for with this parents.
With the passing of Bill Linhart in August of 2013 and the announcement of the Hummel Shop closing, lack of traffic in New Springfield became a concern of the new owners. In November, Kim & Scott were presented with an opportunity to move the garden center to a more highly traveled area in Columbiana, Ohio.
In January 2014 the move began and the new location of Town N Country Garden Center officially opened April 21st. Anyone driving State Route 164 between Columbiana and North Lima knows and can see that improvements are being made on a daily basis. The building of a new pole barn will be completed and expansion is in the planning.
